Job Title: Assistant Coach – Varsity Volleyball

Position Type : Non-Faculty, Non-exempt, Part time

Reports to : Head Coach and Athletic Director

Start Date : August 2020

Salary : Assistant Coach Stipend

Job Summary

The assistant coach assists the head coach in organizing, coordinating and promoting a comprehensive athletic program.

Experience and Skills:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach instruction and training in the fundamentals of the sport/activity
  • Supervise the team during practice, contests and travel
  • Assist the head coach with the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Promote sportsmanship and fair play among team members
  • Provide first aid as required

Job Requirements

  • Some coaching experience preferred, but not required
  • CPR and First Aid Training

Physical Requirements

  • Requires standing for long periods of time
  • Requires lifting and moving of items upwards of fifty pounds
  • Able to make visual and auditory evaluation of athletes performance
